My desire was simply to be able to take beautiful shots to capture those precious moments. I am neither the techno sort of person nor super conversant with DSLRs, much less the technical terms and innumerable gadgets. But this course provides a thorough coverage of the development of the manual camera to the current sophistication of DSLRs.
I have enjoyed every minute of the course as it armed me with the confidence now to manually handle a DSLR! What was most enjoyable and beneficial were the field trips we took. The very small size of the class enabled us to learn and ask questions direct from Marcus “live” and allow us to experiment.
The photoshop sessions were equally “heavy duty” and substantial as Marcus shared a lot of “tips” from his numerous years of experience. The workshop also provides a file with detailed notes as well. For all those looking for a good and comprehensive photography course, this is it! Enjoy!

The Digital Darkroom Course is an interactive, personal and informative course conducted in a small group with lots of hands on on the digital darkroom techniques.
Technical information from the aesthetics of post-processing and guidance regarding ethical and legal considerations were also covered.
Marcus’s patience, wealth of knowledge and experience and his willingness to share beyond the course outline/time have made it an unique and rewarding learning experience for all. The personal attention given to each of us has helped correct our techniques which is only possible from small group learning.
